Marc van Sambeek

Marc van Sambeek is Head of the section of Vascular Surgery at Erasmus University Medical Center in Rotterdam, a position he has held since 2003. Dr van Sambeek is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Endovascular Therapy, Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery, and Vascular Surgery, and deputy editor of EuroIntervention. He is also a course director of EuroPCR. In 1989 he began his surgical training in Rotterdam. From 1995 to 1997 he received advanced training in Vascular Surgery in the University Hospital Rotterdam and became a senior staff member of the Department of Surgery in 1996. Dr. van Sambeek graduated in 1986 with an MD from the Catholic University in Nijmegen. He received his PhD from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam in 1998 on the subject of Intravascular Ultrasound and Peripheral Endovascular Interventions.
